Alu-shine is a product commonly used to clean and brighten aluminum surfaces, typically in industrial or automotive settings. Here’s a brief guide on how to use it:
1. Prepare the Surface: Ensure the aluminum surface is free from dust, dirt, and grease. You can rinse the surface with water if needed.
2. Dilute the Alu-shine: Depending on the level of cleaning required, dilute Alu-shine with water. For light cleaning, a 1:1 ratio (one part Alu-shine to one part water) is typical. For heavy-duty cleaning, you can use it undiluted.
3. Apply Alu-shine: Using a brush, sponge, or spray bottle, apply the Alu-shine solution to the aluminum surface. Make sure it’s evenly distributed.
4. Allow to Sit: Let the solution sit for a few minutes to work on the surface. However, avoid letting it dry on the surface, as it could leave residue or damage the finish.
5. Scrub the Surface: For stubborn stains or oxidation, use a soft brush or cloth to scrub the aluminum.
6. Rinse Thoroughly: After cleaning, rinse the surface thoroughly with water to remove any remaining solution and dirt.
7. Dry: Dry the surface with a clean cloth or let it air dry.
Always wear gloves and protective eyewear when handling Alu-shine, as it is an acidic solution. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the best results.
